PROPERTY VALUATION AND MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT FUNCTIONS
| 1. | Execute administrative management, preparation of the Valuation List, and processes related to Assessment Rates Preparation in accordance with Part XV of the Local Government Act 1976 (Act 171). |
| 2. | Conduct valuation works on new properties belonging to the Federal Government, State Governments, and Statutory Bodies to claim Contributions in Lieu of Rates (CILOR / SMK). |
| 3. | Manage land applications on behalf of the Council for alienation, licenses, temporary occupation, gazettement, and other related purposes. |
| 4. | Manage the rental of Council assets including food courts/stalls, public markets, Council-owned land and buildings, as well as advertising billboard sites within the MBSJ administrative area. |
| 5. | Manage Council-owned assets in terms of cleanliness maintenance, insurance, supply and service procurement, and utility management to ensure safe and comfortable usage. |
