SUBANG JAYA IS NOW CALLED A CITY

Subang Jaya, the third largest city in Selangor after Petaling Jaya and Shah Alam, made history when the city was upgraded to a city. The recognition was recorded through a proclamation letter from the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj.

“I, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, hereby declare and decree that the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) starting on 20 October 2020, corresponding to 3 Rabiul Awal 1442 Hijrah, shall become a city forever and shall be referred to as the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ),” said His Majesty.
